Cho Hatsumei Boy Kanipan is a continued story from Hatsumei Boy Kanipan. Kanipan is now a teenager, and still a famous inventor. But one day, a mysterious ship fell from the sky and crashed at a beach. Inside was a female humanoid that has forgotten all about herself. It is up to Kanipan to revive the humanoid's memory, and he accidentally discover that his planet is in great danger as he strived...

Based on the anime Chou Hatsumei Boy Kanipan Hirameki Wonderland (that was also released in Sega Dreamcast), the Playstation game is about moving around different places and collect items to make new items and after that with that items construct different robots and after that starts a journey using his robots for the battle parts. The game is really hard to play if the player doesn't understand japanese since to advance in the game the player have to combine different items to create new ones.

To advance the first part of the game and build the purple lantern on the "Snes controller Pad" (the machine behind the professor) : click on "mk.object" (the first icon on the left) and put only the 2 orange objects (they are in your inventory and that's the professor who have given to you in the first discussion.

After that going out the laboratory and returning to the it will launch a new sequence in which some evil robots kidnapped the professor.

In the battle part of the game the player can move the robot and use 2 different kind of attacks, a normal one and a special one (limited to some bombs that can be used) and to make the attacks the player have to keep pressed the button for some time until the bar reaches an attack level..
