Gamesoft wo Tsukurou - Let's Be a Super Game Creator puts the player in the role of the president of a software games company: He have to choose the different members of his team to make the different parts of a game and after complete it see how it will sell. So is up to the player to choose what kind of game he wants to produce and all will depend of his team members and after the game is produced of the public.

The game also features another game mode in which the player controls a young boy or a young girl that have to go to the game creators school and improve their stats and graduate there. Each week the player can choose what his character got to do (study different parts of the game designing or have free time to rest). When his character graduate can be used in the main part of the game.
