Kyuutenkai Fantastic Pinball is a pinball game released for Saturn & Playstation One consoles by the creators of the awesome "Devil Crash" for the Sega Mega Drive. This game also offers living bumpers, wandering enemies, and bonus rounds that take place outside of the main table.
The character art and background designs are of an anime style.
You can select from three different characters before the plunger is pulled. They each have their own attributes that affect how the game is played.First up, there is the Knight that specializes in Power Ball moves. This enables him to destroy obstacles on the course a lot easier, and is well recommended for players who want to rush to get big points through physical hits. Next up, is what I can only desribe as a Turtle Hybrid. He comes with the "Multiple Ball" Ability which allows him to spawn up to 4 Decoy balls behind his main ball, which in turn allows for Multiple attacks on targets and can also grab Multipliers. Last up, we have the Adorable Magician who specializes in the "Lucky Ball", meaning that everything that she hits has a Point multiplier, however the multilplier is random every time.
The Aim of the game is to defeat the 4 "Boss Characters" who inhabit the Board. To reach them, you usually have to perform something crazy on the table such as destroying some Targets or Matching 3 Symbols on the Bumper Roulette. You will then get whisked away to a mini pinball boss where you'll take part in some kind of mini-game. This is what makes the game really special! I won't spoil too much for you but one of the mini-games that you'll encounter is a game of soccer. You actually have to score by getting your pinball into the goal. I was in stitches when I first saw this, as the boss jumps left and right in a truly random manner, trying to defend the goal. He also has 3 defenders who spin when hit!
The pinball can also be powered up, allowing it to hit enemies and obstacles for greater damage.
