The sequel to Ridegear Guybrave features a 3D scrolling instead of the side scrolling of the first game. The game features the same futuristic world but with a different story and different characters, in which the player controls one of the members of a mech unit that have to solve different missions.

The gameplay is similar to the first game, the player have to advance through each level destroying all the enemies that comes in your way until you reach the final level boss.

The game features animated sequences and 3D graphics for the action part of the game. The game uses a third person perspective in the action part and a first person perspective for the adventure intermission parts.

The main character of the game is Ken that is the pilot of Brave, the Blue mecha. The other pilot is Raiden. The doctor Kemoo is the scientist.
There are four mechas to choose from: Brave, Harpy, Cyclope and Edge.

There are 2 game modes: The story mode and the colosseum mode in which the player can fight againts the computer or another human player.

  Omake Mode Mini Game 1:  Beat Mission 5 in less than five minutes. Then, return to the title screen to access a new Omake mode that contains a mini-game.
  Omake Mode Mini Game 2:  Beat Mission 9 in less than five minutes to unlock a second mini-game in Omake mode.
  Omake Mode Mini Game 3:  A third mini-game is unlocked by beating Missions 8, 10, and 11.
