Romance of the Three Kingdoms, written by Luo Guanzhong in the 14th century, is a Chinese historical novel based upon events in the turbulent years near the end of the Han Dynasty and the Three Kingdoms era of China, starting in 169 and ending with the reunification of the land in 280.
Three Kingdoms is acclaimed as one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature; it has a total of 800,000 words and nearly a thousand dramatic characters (mostly historical) in 120 chapters. It is arguably the most widely read historical novel in late imperial and modern China.
The Romance of the Three Kingdoms has been adapted into several comic versions in Japan, varying in levels of historical accuracy and loyalty to the original novel and popular tradition. Sangokushi (Japanese for "Records of the Three Kingdoms") by Yokoyama Mitsuteru (Ushio Shuppansha) and the adapted anime Yokoyama Mitsuteru Sangokushi.
Sangokushi VII (aka Romance of the Three Kingdoms VII) is the 7th installment in Koei's famous Romance of the Three Kingdoms series. Like its predecessors, Romance of the Three Kingdoms VII is a grand strategy game set in the Three Kingdoms period in the history of China. The game offers various scenarios based on historical events that occurred in the late 2nd and 3rd centuries AD, beginning with the fall of the Han Dynasty. China is split into several states, and the leaders of each one try to conquer the others and become the sole leader of the Middle Country.
The seventh game of the series contains some changes, such as 3D graphics and the ability to play as any one of the main historical characters. Similarly to the previous games, the game focuses on governing a nation, managing its economy, diplomacy, as well as military planning and preparation. Turn-based tactical battles occur when one nation invades another.
The Power up kit includes following features:
