SD Gundam Eiyuuden Daikessen - Knight Vs. Musha is a game in the SD Gundam series. Super Deformed Gundam or SD Gundam is a series that spawned from the Gundam series. This series takes the mobile weapons and characters and express them in super deformed style.

SD Gundam originated from a contributed illustration of a junior high school student from Nagoya by the name of Koji Yokoi to the "Model News" magazine that Bandai was issuing in the 1980s. The illustration is of a Gundam but with an unusual proportion where the overall height of the Gundam is equal to twice that of its head. This illustration interested the chief editor and so leading to Koji Yokoi serializing SD Gundam in 4 frame comics in "Model News".

In Japan, SD Gundam comics are published in the assembly maual of the BB Senshi kits, titled 'Comic World' (drawn by MARSHI a.k.a Susumu Imaishi). The popularity of the SD Gundam series led to stand-alone publications of SD Gundam comics, initially serialized in Comic Bom Bom by Kodansha. The Comic World stories may contain differences from their expanded counterparts. In later BB Senshi kits, especially the musha-themed kits, contain side story for the separately published series.

Knight Gundam is part of the SD Gundam franchise, a sub-franchise of the popular Gundam anime. In Knight Gundam, Gundam mecha and characters are reimagined as knights, sorcerers and other fantasy and medieval European character types. Generally, the series has not been as popular as its counterpart Musha Gundam and as such Knight Gundam productions are rare. Perhaps in an attempt to change this, the Knight Gundam concept received a fair amount of focus in the recent Superior Defender Gundam Force television series.

Musha Gundam are Gundam units modelled after samurai, ninja, or other forms of feudal Japanese warriors. Inheriting the base SD Gundam design, typical design element include changing beam sabre into katana, sheath that act as a gun, removable armour suits. Although the concept began with more typical Gundam proportions, the idea is most famous for inspiring a long running SD Gundam franchise.

SD Gundam Eiyuuden Daikessen!! Senshi VS Musha is an action game entry in Bandai's series of games based on the superdeformed (SD) versions of the popular Gundam characters. In this Japan-only title, players customize their own cutesy Gundam suits choosing from more than 300 different parts and items, then go into battle against the computer or a friend.

The game features 3 game modes: Story, VS & Customize.
