Virtual Kyoutei 21 is the last one in the Nitchibutsu motorboats games for the Playstation console. In these games the player compete in the Virtual Kyoutei tournament that is somekind of motorboats racing in which the player character compete against 5 computer players.
This version of the game features 4 different racing game modes that allows the player to experience also the life of his character. The game features different time to race (night and day), different parts for the motorboat to upgrade and customize, and different circuits and game modes.
In the quick race mode the player starts a quick race choosing the rivals, the time of the day, the motorboats and the circuit.
In the four stories mode there are 4 different characters to choose: Kentaro Kai (23 years), Kei Jamaji (28 years), Yuko Takenouchi (19 years) and Yoshizo Otsu (40 years).
The water surface had been improved from previous games of the series, and the reflect of the boats is better.
The game also features a complete database.
