Although included in other "extreme" video games, downhill mountain biking has not been given its own game, until now that is. No Fear Downhill Mountain Bike Racing, designed and published by Codemasters is the first foray, by any company, into the world of downhill racing. Take on seven other racers in a tournament to win upgrades. Race one-on-one in single races around the world to increase your skills. Race against the clock in the time trial mode. These are just some of your choices in the world of No Fear Downhill Mountain Bike Racing.

You can select from Marlon, Jennifer, Daniel, Donna, Scott, Mary, Niels-Peter, or Rob. All have different statistics allowing for different races. Stats come under the different topics of power, stamina, recovery, and balance.

Another part of the game lies within the levels themselves. You can perform tricks on jumps by utilizing the trick button and a combination of buttons. Tricks include the arm punch, suicides, wheelies, 360s, and much more.
