Da Capo (commonly abbreviated as D.C.) is an adult Japanese visual novel developed by Circus which was released as a limited edition on June 28, 2002 playable on the PC as a CD-ROM; a DVD-ROM version followed on July 26, 2002. An English release was scheduled for December 25, 2008, and the game was available for a brief time on that date, but the title was pulled until January 20, 2009. Da Capo began as a series of prelude short scenarios in the Suika fandisc Archimedes no Wasuremono, and since the initial release, there have been numerous different versions released for the PC and PlayStation 2 over the years with updated scenarios and characters. The gameplay in Da Capo follows a plot line which offers pre-determined scenarios with courses of interaction, and focuses on the appeal of the seven female main characters.

Da Capo's gameplay requires little interaction from the player, as it is a classic visual novel: most of the duration of the game is spent simply reading the text that appears on the screen which represents either dialogue between the various characters or the inner thoughts of the protagonist. Every so often, the player will come to a point where he or she is given the chance to choose from multiple options.

PLOT:
Da Capo centers around the period before Jun'ichi Asakura graduates from the affiliated section and enters the high school section of Kazami Academy where Sakura Yoshino returns to the island after moving to America several years before. Most of the main stories revolve around the magical unwilting sakura tree and its powers.

D.C. - Da Capo - The Origin: A version of the original game was ported to the PlayStation 2 titled Da Capo - The Origin on February 14, 2008, this version removed the adult content.
