Seigi no Mikata is a story first published by Shueisha as a manga by Hijiri Chiaki, and then made into a short-running TV drama in 2008 by Nihon Television, directed by Satoru Nakajima. The story is about a 15-year-old girl named Yoko, who is being tormented by her older sister Makiko. Only Yoko and her parents know her sister's true nature, while other people are fooled by her unbelievable good luck.
15-year-old Yoko is constantly tormented by her self-centered and fiendish older sister Makiko, who works for a government office after having graduated from a famous university. But despite her ill nature, Makiko's actions tend to somehow make things better for those around her, causing others to praise her as an "ally of justice."
Because of her sister's attitude, Yoko longs to be free. She decides to get her sister married so she will move out. However her plan backfires. There is also a boy called Riku who always teases her because he has a major crush on her. He becomes one of her closest confidants.
VIDEO GAME:
Seigi no Mikata, or "Allies of Justice" lets you direct your own Zyu Ranger-style action TV show, controlling a team of superheros through half-hour adventures of investigating crimes and chop-socking their nefarious perpetrators. Success or failure is judged by audience ratings -- if your show is exciting enough, you continue on to the next mission.
As the hero of The Ally of Justice television show, it is up to you to stop the alien Phantoms and the Gennes organization while keeping ratings high and your true identity a secret. The overall story is that Koichi Suwon came to the big city to be a journalist but along the way met the alien Ayala and was given the Force Crystal that allows him to transform. His only personal weaknesses are cute girls. Yuki Yayoi is the daughter of the owner of cafe HAPPY and a well-known newscaster that Koichi idolizes. Together, the two and a few more neighbors (like Dr. Tamon and his robot Tamakichi) have to defend the town.
You begin by selecting parts for your hero's outfit, his boots, helmet, and other attire, and pick an awesome pose before picking a place in town to visit, speaking with the citizens, and defeating the level's particular menace (all in under 30 minutes). If you fight well and have picked things that were interesting enough when setting up, then the response from viewers will be good and you will move on to the next stage. Of course, this also means more challenge and new equipment for your hero and Yuki.
During the adventure mode you can run around a fairly open-area within any of the locations chosen from the map, visit the stores, and talk to people to gain information as to the whereabouts and plan of the enemy and progress the story. Sometimes you are aided by Yuki. When you encounter enemies there is generally a brief cinema ending with your transformation and a battle. Combat plays out with a series of quick button inputs that you try to complete correctly ahead of the enemy. If you succeed the victory is yours (standard grunts are numerous but weak, think Putty Patrol, but bosses can be more challenging). Fans of nearly any sentai series ever made will find a lot to love here as the game goes to great lengths to mimic every single trope and cliche from camera angles and effects to sun glinting off of reflective helmet visors, to overly-dramatic gesturing and posing.
At the location selection menu, press Triangle to bring up the Command Menu, select the third option from the left to save anytime during the game.
