As professional and celebrity poker tournaments become popular spectator events, this value-minded release from Crave is designed to bring the excitement of televised high-stakes poker to the PlayStation 2. Five types of poker are available, including Five Card Draw and Texas Hold 'Em; hints, tips, and tutorials are also offered. Online play is supported by GameSpy's PlayStation 2 networking services.

World Championship Poker is a poker simulation featuring twelve types of poker (Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Pineapple, Crazy Pineapple, Tahoe, Double Flop Hold'em, Super Hold'em, Five-Card Draw, Seven-Card Stud, Triple Draw, Billabong Poker, and Shanghai). WCP supports both online and offline play. Online, you can play poker with random people, or your friends. Offline play includes a tutorial, Sit & Go mode for a fast game or a more extensive Tournament mode.

In addition, the game features the ability to create your own custom character, by adjusting the appearance of various features. Both the players and the tables are completely in 3D. The games supports online multiplayer.

MISC CODES:

Never lose -   When you sit at a table and the cards are dealt, save the game before betting. You can then move all in or bet the maximum amount. If you lose the hand, just exit out of the game, and load your saved game. When you are back at the table, you will have the same cards as before, and the outcome will be the exactly same as it was when you lost. Simply fold instead of betting. Also, if you save the game and decide to fold but realize you would have had a really good hand, just reload the game and play the hand. The outcome will be the exactly the same again.
