G1 Jockey 4 lets you take the reigns and experience the feeling of being a top racehorse jockey. This fourth game in the hugely popular series introduces a new ranking system and abilities, as well as a revolutionary analogue control system that gives you the most realistic horseracing experience yet. From the improved environments and animation, to the introduction of horse breeding, G1 Jockey 4 is a game that any true horse racing fan will revel in.
Other new additions are on the cards, such as being able to breed and rear your own horse each year. You choose the breeding stock ‘ based on their abilities ‘ and your new champion is born for you to name, train and race. The Gallop Racer series has allowed you to do this for a while, and whilst G1 Jockey 4’s breeding system is comparatively simple ‘ this makes it a darned sight easier and more fun to use.
On the track, the ability to manage the bit position has been strangely removed from this new version, after only being introduced in G1J3. For me, this is a bizarre decision, since it worked so well before. However, this doesn’t make the game any less addictive or fun. Graphically, not a great deal has changed, and the sonic experience is much the same. No, the majority of the changes are in the game’s front end, and they serve to provide a deep and enthralling experience.
G1 Jockey 4 2008 is a horse racing simulator published by Koei for the PlayStation 2 & 3 and the game is the sequel of G1 Jockey 4 2007. The game features all the data and names of the 2008 season and a new Legend Mode.
