Popular in Japan, the G1 Jockey series rounds the corner and heads for the U.S. with this release from KOEI. Players take the role of a rookie who aspires to become a Grade 1 Class ("G1") jockey. As the season progresses, they'll need to learn the subtle art of horse racing -- when to make a move, when to hold back, and when to let loose in the home stretch.
Yet there's more to the sport than tactics and athletics. Experienced jockeys must also learn to negotiate with trainers and choose the best steeds for their situations. They'll have to prepare for weather conditions that could change with each race. Up-and-coming riders may also learn a trick or two from the veterans they'll meet throughout the season.
G1 Jockey 3 features 35 courses and ten tracks, allowing both flatland and steeplechase racing. There are 4,000 playable horses, each with distinct attributes and characteristics. In addition to the rounded single-player campaign, there is also a Training mode that focuses specifically on racing skills. Two virtual jockeys can race for the tape head-to-head in customizable multiplayer contests.
Features:
* Lead your horse towards the finish line on ten racetracks against more than 100 different jockeys
* Select your race-winning stallion from 4,000 playable horses
* Play alone or challenge friends to races in a variety of weather conditions
