Mahjong, a game that originated in China, is commonly played by four players (with some three-player variations found in Korea and Japan). The game and its regional variants is widely played throughout Eastern and South Eastern Asia and has a small following in Western countries. Similar to the Western card game rummy, mahjong is a game of skill, strategy and calculation and involves a certain degree of chance.

Taisen Hot Gimmick - Axes-Jong: Hot mahjong action reaches the PS2 courtesy of X-Nauts. Play mahjong against up to fifteen characters which consist mostly of sexy gals and some less attractive beings. The key is to win consistently in order to put opponents into humiliating positions as clothing slowly falls away until underwear is all that remains. Since the PS2 is a "family console," there is no nudity in the game and the girls only find themselves in their skivvies after repeatedly losing to your skilled pimp mahjong hand.

The limited edition of Taisen Hot Gimmick includes a 32-page art booklet featuring the girls from the game in questionable poses and situations.
