Tottoi is a 1992 anime film by Nippon Animation. It was dubbed into English in 1993 as Secret of the Seal and was distributed by Celebrity Home Entertainment.

PLOT:
Tottoi, a boy about 14 years old, he emigrated to Germany with his family. After the death of his mother, his father decided to return to his home town in Sardinia. The narrative begins when the hero sees a seal, although it was believed that they died out long ago.

After his mother passes away, Atonio and his family move from West Germany to his father's home country of Sardinia. There, everyone calls him Tottoi. Tottoi tries get used to his new life and make new friends. While taking a swim in a cavern he stumbles across a seal that is thought to be extinct. Anime Eikaiwa - Tottoi is a fully voice and text driven digital novel based on the TV animation Tottoi with the added bonus of being fully bilingual. You can choose from any combination of Japanese / English text and audio. You may have figured out already that Tottoi is in fact Time spelt backwards.

The game is actually an interactive movie since the player can only watch how the story advances through the different game scenes. The only gameplay is in the educational part of the software that is actually very good. You have exercises, English vocabulary tests and a Japanese to English dictionary. The game can also be used to teach English speakers Japanese. Of course you can't use most of the exercises but at least you can use the dictionary and play the game in English.

English software that English can learn while watching the anime. The recorded anime "Totoi" depicting the parent-child and boy Totoi exchange of seals that are said to be extinct has been. Of course playback, fast forward, rewind also like subtitles notation of selection and dictionary featured.
