Nurse Witch Komugi is an original video animation (OVA) anime series co-produced by Tatsunoko Production and Kyoto Animation. The series lasted for five episodes (six if episode 2.5 that appeared in the middle of the series is included), all of which were released on DVD in North America by ADV Films. A two episode long sequel OVA series was created, Nurse Witch Komugi-chan Magicarte Z.

The story of the anime itself is basically a parody of both the The SoulTaker anime series and the magical girl anime genre. It revolves around Komugi Nakahara, a cosplay idol who turns into Magical Nurse Witch Komugi when trouble is around.

Nurse Witch Komugi-Chan Magical te: A malignant virus boss named Angler has escaped from captivity on Vaccine World and is hiding out on Earth. Maya, the blue-haired goddess of Vaccine World, summons the cloudy Mugimaru to hunt down Angler before it can hatch new machinations against Vaccine World. Mugimaru speeds to Earth in hot pursuit but faces a conundrum.

Denizens from Vaccine World are powerless on Earth but they may bequeath their skills and magic. A vessel must be found and Mugimaru chances upon a young girl named Komugi Nakahara, who just happens to enjoy cosplay. Dazzling her with a magical wand of sorts which looks like something any cosplayer would desire, Komugi accepts the wand and the responsibility of tracking down Angler and containing it's infection...

The limited edition of Nurse Witch includes a music CD and a Komugi Nakahara figure which measures 5.70" tall. Komugi stands in her pink undershirt while holding up her school uniform. Her left eye is wide open but the right one is winking and a big raspberry appears to be razzing out of her mouth. On her left knee, a bandage covers some unseen cut and black undies are apparent. The floppy bunny ears and round tail complete the image.
