Izayoi Renka takes place in a small mountain village during the early days of the Showa period (1926 - 1989). The game's protagonist, who posses a special ability to forsee miracles, decides to return to his home town in the mountains. There he promptly meets the game's six heroines and gradually gets caught up in a lot of mysterious incidents.

The heroines include Matori Saekino, a childhood friend of the protagonist and sole daughter of the family in charge of the Saekino Shrine; the mysterious Aya; and Rin Sugiyama, the daughter of the village's only doctor who just returned to the village from the city. Furthermore, there are also the mayor's daughter Hifumi Katsuragi, the mayor's maid Yae, as well as Vachel, a foreigner, whose composure is usally pretty cool, but who is at the same very clumsy as far as her daily life in the village is concerned.

A young artist named Naoya tires of the small town life and takes a walk to greener pastures to find his fortune. Naoya possesses a special skill of sorts which allows him to view the inner nature of any person that he meets. Despite his special vision, success is found wanting and he decides to return home to his small town where he was once happy. Little has changed when he returns home where many familiar faces greet him. New residents in town also provide a bit of discovery as well as potential romance.

Publisher Chise adds a new scenario to the PS2 port, draws new event graphics, and throws in a music CD which contains 3 tracks, 1 remix track and BGM samples.

Transplanted the romance adventure "Izayoi inexpensive" Japanese-style taste that was to stage a popular early Showa mountain village on the PC. In addition to new events CG, add the everlasting knitting new scenario of. Hero with the ability to pass look at the mysterious things, and return to his hometown of GoMegumi Namura, met with various heroine, but deepen exchanges, we will be caught up in increasingly bizarre incident.
