La Corda d'Oro (Kin'iro no Koruda) is a role-playing game series targeted at a female audience under the Neoromance series from Koei. The title comes from the Italian for The Golden String.

The story was adapted into a manga by the game’s character designer, Yuki Kure, which is serialized in LaLa magazine. An anime adaptation, titled La Corda d'Oro: Primo Passo, was first broadcast by TV Tokyo from October 2006 to March 2007. The anime also premiered on Animax. It was aired across its respective networks worldwide, including Hong Kong and Taiwan, and also translated and dubbed into English for its English language networks in Southeast Asia and South Asia, and other regions. Sentai Filmworks acquired North American rights to the series, has released it in two half-season box sets, and is streaming it online. The first of a 2-episode anime special, entitled La Corda d'Oro: Secondo Passo, was aired by Kids Station on March 26, 2009, but the season ends on a cliffhanger. Secondo Passo was meant strictly to promote the video game.

PLOT:
Kahoko Hino is a student in the General Education section of Seiso Academy. One day she runs into Lili, a musical fairy, who grants her a magical violin and a place in the school's annual musical competition. Kahoko refuses, only to be pressed on by Lili until she accepts the instrument and place in the competition. As she practices, Kahoko is amazed that she can play any musical piece as long as she knows the tune and plays it with her heart. As the competition goes on, she becomes more and more attached to the people she is trying to compete with.

GAME:
Music-themed romance simulation from Koei. Part of the company's "neo romance" series targeted at female gamers, La Corda d'Oro abandones the fantasy settings of its predecessor and is set in a present day high school. Players take on the role of a young female student who shows off her violin skills in a music contest. She immediately catches the attention of five handsome boys who play violin, flute, and cello, and forges a musical friendship with them -- and perhaps more. Rivalry, intrigue, and rivalry ensues. The game is based on the PC version of the same name, but improves over the title with added content, such as new ending movies for each character, new character designs, and more.

In the game the player plays as a female violin player in this love simulation game. The goal is to win top prize at a violin concert while developing strong relationships with the surrounding men in her life. While most of these men are rivals, depending on your musical abilities, their relationship could change to one of love. You collect new songs from fairies and practice them to become good, and can then choose which songs to play in order to gain the affection of certain men.

The Premium Box features a picture label, a drama CD, a character card x 8, & in a book cover, clear case.
