Kyoufu Shinbun (Heisei-Han) Kaiki! Shinrei File: is based on Jiro Tsunoda’s manga Kyoufu Shinbun about a newspaper which foretells of disasters and murders but shortens the lifespan of anyone who reads it.
The story centers around a newspaper fortelling a ton of disasters and murders on it, and when someone reads it, that person's life span decreases and they die in a brutal way. The story follows a highschool boy who's teachers and friends are all being killed after having read the newspaper, and he takes it upon himself to help put an end to the devastation.
The gameplay changes between first- and third-person exploration. By the fact that the 2P controller is inserted in the substance, protection spirit resides in the controller.
