In Fuuraiki the player controls a photographer that got an asignement of take the ferry to Hokkaido region and there he will start a journey in which he will take photographs of places and will meet different kind of people (most of them girls). The game features a photograph viewer in which the player can view all the photos that he took during the game.

There are lots of different places to visit and different characters to talk to and take photographs. The game takes place in the far northern Hokkaido region. Contributions to a writing assignment await the reporter at the end of each day which requires suitable photos taken during the day and an online bulletin board is available for making contact with the home office.

The game features 4 female main characters with japanese voice acting.

In Fuuraiki 2, you play as a reporter traveling through the southern island of Okinawa (the original was based in the far northern Hokkaido region, making for a dramatic change of setting). As you travel through 100 different Okinawa locations, you'll meet a number of female characters (this time 3 different girls) who'll of course fall in love with you and so on and so forth.

The most important different between this one and the first game is that in this second game the player won't travel using static photographs like in the first game, this time he use the map and select a destination.
