Hakuoki - Shinsengumi Kitan is a video game series by Idea Factory, first designed for the PlayStation 2 and then later ported to PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo 3DS. It has been adapted into two 12/10-episode anime series animated by Studio DEEN; the first began airing in Japan on the TV Kanagawa and UHF stations on April 4, 2010. The second season began airing on October 10, 2010 and ended on December 12, 2010. The series has also been adapted as two different manga series. A third series based on the prequel, Hakuoki Reimeiroku aired in summer of 2012. Two new films are scheduled for 2013. The anime series has been licensed by Sentai Filmworks in North America.
Wand of Fortune: Lulu is born with magical powers unassociated with any element (i.e. Light, darkness, wind, water etc.) and so all spells she performs ends in hazards. To prevent the school from judging her as an unfit magician and sealing her powers, she has to choose an element and a fellow magician to bond with.
Armen Noir: The story is set in the near future, in a corrupt city called Moebius, where the gap between rich and poor is growing bigger and bigger.
The heroine is a ‘Hunter’, someone who has chosen to oppose the criminals who have sullied their hands with illegal deeds and have gained money as a result. Hunters work for ‘Bountia’, an organization that takes assignments to catch criminals in the city for rewards. Armen Noir is the heroine’s codename in Bountia, and her real name is Naska. The thing is, despite her being an A class hunter, she cannot kill anybody. She rose to A rank because she has been able to defeat her enemies well without having to kill them.
S.Y.K Shinsetsu Saiyuuki: The Chinese classic Saiyuki has been adapted into various anime and games. From action adventure to fighting, this classic has many dramatic moments. This time, under the developers of Idea Factory, famous for dating simulations such as Hiiro no Kakera, this Chinese Classic becomes a romantic adventure.
Keshikyun Puzzle Atori Mahiro VS Saitou- Elle VS Hakkai - Hakuouki Reimeiroku is a puzzle game that uses characters from some Idea Factory game series (like S.Y.K Shinsetsu Saiyuuki, Wand of Fortune, Hakouki, etc). The game didn't have an official release and was a promotional disc for the Girl Style series. There are 4 different characters to choose from.
The disc also contains a demo of Armen Noir and some video previews of other Idea Factory PS2 & PSP games.
