Boys Be... is a manga created and written by Masahiro Itabashi and illustrated by Hiroyuki Tamakoshi, which was in 2000 adapted into a 13 episode anime series by Hal Film Maker.

The anime focuses upon the ups and downs, joys and sorrows of first love and teenage romance. Six students struggle to find the perfect partner and their adolescent limitations.

Each episode begins and ends with a philosophical quote which sums up the episode's content. Boys Be..., while centered on Kyoichi and Chiharu, revolves around seven or eight main characters and their love lives.

Typing Renai Hakusho - Boys Be... is based on an ongoing manga series and a thirteen episode anime in Japan, Boys Be focuses on the trials of a group of high school students as they discover love and friendship. Although the focus of the series is on the two childhood friends Kyoichi and Chiharu, the other males and females also get their fair share of screen time and introspection. In order to help game players with their typing skills, Sunsoft entices fans of the Boys Be franchise with a set of exercises featuring the characters from the game. Letters appear onscreen and it's up to you to slap the keys accurately and at a goodly pace.

Game Modes:
- Story Mode: At the beginning of the game only the Mami story is avaliable, once is cleared a new girl story appears. There are 5 girl stories to play.
- Date Mode: Once you complete one of the stories in the story mode the date mode of that character is avaliable. In the date mode the girl will ask different questions providing you only with the numbers of letters of the word and the first letter of that word, and there a limited time to make the proper answer.
- Training: Train to learn how to play the game.

The game features an unlockable pictures gallery.
Typing Renai Hakusho - Boys Be... (Keyboard Set) was released in a box that features a keyboard and the game.

New sense of love story you play in typing. Typing game with the motif of the cartoon "BOYS BE ...". In the omnibus of five episodes, I adopt the system that typing a conversation with the girl, favorability of heroines changes. I have installed the mini-game format such as "date mode", can watch graphic also "gallery mode".
