Alive is an interactive movie / adventure game in which the player takes the role of a 20 year old japanese girl accused of murder. At certain times in the game the player must make a decision: Active, Clever, or Escape. The game uses real actors and is divided in 3 cds featuring different endings depending of the player choices during the game.
STORY:
The game takes place in the year 2003 in a futuristic reality and all begins with a terrorist attack that using a bomb makes a building to explode, so the police start to take proper actions. After that the game changes to a sequence where a explosion takes place in the subway and Hiro (one of Atsuko friends) is there, after talking to Hiro she feels that someone is following her and she sees a suspicious man watching her, she talk to the police but they don't believe her, she decide to return to her apartment.
There she finds blood in her bathtub and after that the suspicious man appears and tried to kill her, after making him escape she goes to her bedroom where she finds a corpse. A few minutes later in the TV news she appears killing him, so the police arrives at the building and she has to try escape from them, is a race for her life.
GAMEPLAY:
The game is an interactive movie, there are parts in which the player will have to choose between an active, a clever or a a escape decision, and after that a new sequence of movements will take place, all is about timing since pressing the button or D-Pad will make the action or not, the same for some shooting actions all is about timing. Other parts of the game are more active, like the ones where the player has to hack a card or things like that.

In the near future SF story with elements of theater, or repel the enemy choose the option to leave in the middle of the game, so you can survive to avoid the danger.
