Boys Be... is a manga created and written by Masahiro Itabashi and illustrated by Hiroyuki Tamakoshi, which was in 2000 adapted into a 13 episode anime series by Hal Film Maker.
The anime focuses upon the ups and downs, joys and sorrows of first love and teenage romance. Six students struggle to find the perfect partner and their adolescent limitations.
Each episode begins and ends with a philosophical quote which sums up the episode's content. Boys Be..., while centered on Kyoichi and Chiharu, revolves around seven or eight main characters and their love lives.
The first game in the Boys Be... series uses a first person perspective and japanese voice acting. The adventure will go for different parts depending of the players choices. The game features 2 new systems never seem on a dating game before: The heart impressions (when the players characters meet a girl he can put the impression that that girl makes him at first sight) and the balance system (the player have to decide which girl thinks that is right in some parts of the game).
