Actua Tennis features the Actua Sports concept of a fully 3D environment with multiple camera views for both the action and the replays, and motion captured player actions. You can design your player and then put him to the test in a series of tournaments around the world. Drop, lob and smash shots are all on offer, as are singles and doubles matches for up to 4 human players. The former Australian tennis player Pat Cash provides the commentary.
Actua Tennis is the latest addition to the Actua Sports series which included the extremely popular Actua Soccer and Actua Golf.
Using the latest motion capture technology, giving the full, fluid movement of real tennis pros, Actua Tennis looks set to continue the trend for Gremlin's Premier Sports Series.
All the matches take place in true 3D courts, allowing you to view the action from any angle and to replay those dubious line calls again and again. Actua Tennis also gives you your first taste of the incredible new Actua Sports 3D engine.
Actua Tennis features the full range of playing options, including Professional and Amateur tournaments. The game also contains motion-captured umpires, line judges and ball boys, and features players with the nicest legs seen in any video game ever (well, apart from Tomb Raider perhaps). With commentary by Barry Davies and Sue Barker the ball is now firmly in your court.
