Ryu, a baby dinosaur, has just been discovered and rescued from his entrapment of ice. As you try to escape, the miners who found you capture you, put you in a cage and take you away on a train. Little do they know, Ryu's cage fell off the train into, what is for him, a brand new world. Ryu has also changed into a little human boy and he cannot remember who or what he once was. Upon finding him, two young misfits show pity on the quivering child and take him into their home. What lies ahead for our faithful protagonist? Only you can unlock Ryu's fate!

Breath of Fire III is the third installment of the widely successful Super Nintendo role playing games of the same name. It features a long and enduring quest with a highly involved plot, a classic RPG battle system, crisp graphics with smooth character animation, many characters to interact with and loads of cool magical spells and items.

STORY:

The dragon legend continues . . .!

Ancient legend tells of a powerful Dragon Clan, a clan that mysteriously vanished, having sacrificed themselves to destroy the Goddess of Darkness and bring peace to their land.
The legend of the clan spans only up to the point at which they were powerful enough to destroy the whole world. No subsequent record of their existence can be found . . .

The remains of this clan, these 'Dragon People' appear in the form of chrysmore - a tremendously beneficial form of energy which is mined for its raw power.

Centuries after the original legend is supposed to take place, a group of miners discover a dragon youth down an abandoned chrysmore mine. Their minds are filled with wonder and curiosity. What is this new treasure? Where did he come from and how did he survive inside this mine?

Ryu, the Dragon Boy, becomes an outcast and starts to get into trouble. He befriends two renegades, Rei and Teepo, and all three live a life of thievery, living life on a knife edge, but rarely getting caught.

Until one day a mysterious villager leads them right into the hands of the authorities. The boys are dealt with swiftly and separated. At this time Ryu begins to examine his life and feels a burning desire to learn the history of his ancestors . . .

As the last survivor of his race, Ryu matures to become a mighty warrior in search of his past and his destiny, but what he uncovers is a revisiting of the evil of which the legends tell.

     BASIC CONTROLS:
      Move character - D-Pad 
      Talk / Confirm / Execute / Examine / Cast and reel (while fishing) - X, R2 or L2 Button 
      Walk (hold down if auto run on) / Run (hold down if auto run off) / Speed up boat - Circle Button 
      Bring up main menu - Square Button 
      Undo / Exit / Use personal action (different with each character) - Triangle Button 
      Change camera angles (hold down and press D-pad) - R1 Button 
      Switch lead character - L1 Button 
      Toggle on/off search hand and pauses the game - Start Button 

     

     MISC CODES:
      Infinite Croc Tears -  Go to Ceder woods and find the pond go to the middle of it were there is a small little ditch and press x and you should get a Croc Tear also you can keep pressing the x butten and get infinite of them.
      20% off magic -  If you want to get 20% off of magic equip 2 Shaman's rings and it should work. This is good for ryu with his accension ability because it takes alot of AP.
      Have Vital Item Flier -  Go to Genmel when you're still a child, go near the item shop and press R1 and change the camera.You'll see a manillo eating in the corner.Talk to him and he will give you the flier. This will decrease your buying items to 20 to 30% OFF!.
      Hint -  Walk around with ryu and slash people with your sword. Sometimes you get money.
      Control the Kaiser form -  Usually, Ryu will not have control of the Kaiser. Select Infinity + Trance + Radiance for it to work correctly.
      Easily defeat the Goddess Of Destruction -  Just before the last battle, Myria will transform herself into the Goddess of Destruction, with about 20,000 HP. Defeat her by transforming Ryu into Myrmidon (Frost + Trance + Force), then choose Aura. This will allow more than 1,000 damage to be done on each turn. Do this repeatedly until she has been defeated. Be ready to use your healing items and assign one or two of your party members to replenish Ryu's AP.
      Hide And Seek, Wyndian Kids -  After Ryu matures, he can be apprenticed to the kids in Wyndia that were in the hide-and-seek game earlier. First, find them in a hide-in-seek game around. They can be found in the following locations.
      Bais: In B3 of the Dauna Mine -  Lang: Behind a tombstone in the Wyndian cemetery Lee : In the Eastern Wyndian Checkpoint, in a corner behind the guards Wynn: In the lower level of Junk Town on the left side.
      Kill Vulcans in volcano -  The Vulcans in Mt. Zublo are usually very hard to kill. However, they are worth 300 exp a throw, which at that stage in the game is a lot. Use this trick to kill them easily. First, before entering Mt. Zublo, buy a large amount of Molotovs (20-30) from Wyndia. After buying these, go into the volcano. When you meet a Vulcan, get one of your characters to use one Molotov on the Vulcan. It should heal it and the message "Vulcan begins to move!" should appear. After that, destroy it. Ice spells are very effective and the Jump skill (if present) also works well.
      Get the Beast Spear -  As soon as you beat Gaist, you need to search his ashes. You will then get the Beast Spear. This weapon will increase his attack by 150! The only drawback is that it will drain about 9 to 10 HP from him every round.
