Tired of the same racing games? Cars that travel at a measly 300 mph? How about flying through the course at an amazing 1100 miles per hour? On top of that, try to maintain your balance while you're bombarded with missiles and other weapons by five other fighters. N.GEN Racing has all this and more.

All the features of your favorite racing games are here. From purchasing other jets to customizing each one's features, N.GEN Racing puts you directly in control of more than just the racing. In Arcade mode, the player can have the fun of racing without any other complexities. The Arcade Championship allows players to fly through several courses with their pick of aircraft and win to unlock the next class of championship.

Trainer mode is the first class you must defeat and there are no weapons available yet. Once you beat the Trainer Championship, you may advance to the Fighter Championship where all the weapons are introduced. Single Race mode lets you fly one quick course with a limited number of aircrafts available. Head to Head mode allows two players to race against each other with split-screen action. Although, only a limited number of jets are allowed in this mode.

Among the other options is Powerball, a game in which two players are pitted against one another with a floating silver orb that hovers above the tower in the middle of the playing field. Four scoring drones surround the tower and the object is to obtain the powerball and fly through these drones as many times as possible until you are destroyed or the time runs out.

In the full N.GEN Racing mode, you start out with 12,000,000 credits with which you must buy your first aircraft. After this, you race through championships and single races to obtain more money to further your career. When you get enough cash you can buy better jets in different classes and obtain permits to fly them in other championships.

With each jet you buy comes the option of upgrading. You can increase the power of your aircraft by buying a better engine, or improve handling by purchasing stabilizers. Once you buy an upgrade you also have the option to sell it if you don't need it anymore. Before you purchase a new fighter, you have the ability to take it for a test flight, which will help you to get a feel for it before shelling out $88,000,000 in cash.

You're also allowed to save your progress so you can continue your racing career at any time. Along with the Championship Racing in N.GEN mode, Club Racing allows you to join one race against five other fighters in your same class. Time Trials allow you to practice the courses to get your best time possible, and each time you complete a championship with a bronze medal or above, you open up a special race in Majic-12 mode.

Once you start a race you have two options on handling: Arcade or Pro. The Arcade handling puts many of the options on autopilot, making the jet easier to fly. In Pro handling mode you take full control over the aircraft -- including the ability to perform barrel rolls and adjust the wing flaps. After you've chosen how you want to fly, you begin the race, at which point you have the ability to use weapons (from fighter class on up). A player can toggle between rockets, missiles and guns, then fire them using another button. Missiles will first lock onto a target, then seek out and destroy it. Rockets must be manually targeted and the same applies with guns.

N.GEN Racing features a total of 38 high-speed fighter jets on 14 different tracks while allowing players to modify their aircraft to suit their own special needs. Prepare to be blown away -- literally!
