Choose from eight players of international renown -- Andre Agassi, Lindsay Davenport, Martina Hingis, Yevgeny Kafelnikov, Anna Kournikova, Patrick Rafter, Pete Sampras, or Monica Seles -- and lead your chosen pro to victory at Wimbledon, the U.S. Open, and other world famous contests.

The game is designed to offer approachable but realistic tennis action in several modes, from quick, pick-up single matches to full tournaments. A "Challenge" mode lets players practice basics and hone their skills without the pressure of a worldwide audience. The game's roots are hidden but notable, as earlier titles in the Namco series, such as Anna Kournikova's Smash Court Tennis (1999) for the PlayStation, received critical praise but were never released in the United States.
