The EX series makes its way to the PS2, and has a total of 16 fighters (from past EX games) as well as unlockable fighters like Sagat, M. Bison and many more.
In addition to the requisite visual improvements that go hand-in-hand with a PS2 update of a PlayStation title, this third installment of the 3D Street Fighter EX series adds a tag feature similar to Tekken Tag Tournament that allows for two-on-two battles. Also new is a character edit mode that lets you train the character Ace from a weakling with no special moves into a fighting powerhouse. Familiar SF2 characters like Ryu, Guile and Chun Li are on hand, as are EX regulars such as Skullomania and Doctrine Dark.
Four game modes, four players, three battle types and a cherry on top. Street Fighter EX3 features the Original, Arena, Character Edit and Training Modes, the first two further configurable to Tag, Dramatic or Team Battle type. In addition, EX3 has a new and more lethal strain of combos that, coupled with Tag capabilities, introduce an element of strategy to the game.
