Artdink is a Japanese developer that's been making games for the Sony PlayStation and PC for years now, and the company's longest running series easily its popular train building/management simulator, A Train. The games in this particular series are known for being the most realistic train building/management simulations on the market
A Train 6 is the ultimate simulation game. Watch as your small village evolves into a sprawling megalopolis with skyscrapers, stadia, factories, shopping centres and much, much more! It's down to you to plan, design and integrate a railway network that meets the demands of your burgeoning city. You will need to transport your population to work, safely and on time as well as transporting their produce to the factories and other cities. Everything, and we really do mean everything, is dependent on your ability to take your limited resources and make it happen.
The player will be able to control a city's railroad network, which will affect the city around it. A-Train 6 also factors in the "will of the city," which is composed of reactions and feelings from the people that exist in it. This system will evolve as the player progress.
The city will change based on where tracks are laid down. It's possible to create problems and cause major changes to housing and communities if a train station or track is put in their vicinity. The player will have the ability to manipulate every building, from its width, height, and color. Additionally, players will be able to get up close and personal with the city you've built, walking the streets in a first person perspective.
Artdink has teamed up with Railroad Fan magazine in A-Train's development. It will deliver more than 40 different types of trains, including foreign and domestic types; with the German DB103 and the Italian ETR470 just two of the featured engines.
Like the SimCity series, there is a game speed option that will allow you to speed up time in order for your creations to develop. Things like trains and cars will move at high speeds too, which may remind you of that old movie trick, where everything is sped up.
