Activision and Disney have joined forces to create a skateboarding game targeted specifically at children ages 6 to 14. Using the engine from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4, Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure takes players through such famous locales as Pride Rock, Pizza Planet, and Tarzan's Treehouse as they guide characters from films The Lion King, Toy Story 2, and Tarzan. Modes of play include Adventure and split-screen Multiplayer. Players can also design their own likeness using the Create-A-Skater option.
Four characters from each film are represented, including Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Tarzan, Terk, Simba, and Rafiki. Players can also choose from a group of ten real-life skaters (ages 6 to 14) who were winners of a nationwide casting call sponsored by Activision. The Create-A-Skater option lets players customize nearly every facet of their onscreen counterpart, including hair color, clothing, shoes, helmet, board, and hairstyle. Once a character is selected, players will be able to perform such popular moves as flip tricks, grabs, grinds, manuals, and a variety of other stunts.
Adventure mode is the heart of the game, where players interact with movie characters and accomplish a wide assortment of goals throughout nine levels inspired by all three films. Levels are accessed from a real-world venue named Olliewood, which features its own set of objectives. Since many of the featured settings are not conducive to "traditional" skateboarding, players will be able to guide characters atop modified boards in the shape of bamboo rafts, frying pans, and more. In addition to completing objectives, players will also solve puzzles, uncover secret areas, and find a variety of items to collect on each level.

In addition to being able to skate throughout multiple universes, gamers will start off in a real world locale where they can Create-A-Skater and customize their skater with everything from different clothes, hair color and styles (such as Mohawks), shoes, helmets and boards. In addition to customizing, players will be able to encounter real world elements such as fast food restaurants, different clothing brands and styles and other popular culture references.
Design your own game character, and then send them through both real world and Disney locales. Secret areas and collectables can be found throughout all of the levels.
For the first time ever, skate as 12 different characters from Disney/Pixar's Toy Story 2, Disney's The Lion King and Disney's TarzanŽ, such as Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Simba, and Young Tarzan. Plus, 15 non-playable Disney/Pixar friends and foes will interact with you throughout your adventure.
Skate like the best, incorporating sweet tricks like ollies, rail grinds, spins and other expert balance moves. Try your stuff on skateboards, Victorian mirrors, frying pans and other cool foot rides. Perform your cool skate moves on any of the surfaces in each world, such as grinding on dominoes in Andy's Room, spinning your board as you jump off trees in Tarzan's Jungle, and ollieing over bones in the Elephant Graveyard.
Learn pro techniques in Training Mode, complete goals in Career Mode and compete against friends in split-screen Multiplayer Mode. Multiple control modes make it fun for everyone.
