In Brave: The Search for Spirit Dancer, players guide a young Native American through a journey to save his village from an evil shaman named Wendigo. Brave is called upon to search for his father Spirit Dancer, a powerful shaman who is the only one who can defeat Wendigo.

Brave will travel through forests, desert planes, icy lands, raging rivers, the sky, and even the spirit world as he swims, climbs, canoes, and fights his way to save his people. He will battle grizzly bears, paint beetles, rock goblins, cliff ogres, wolves, and Fallen warriors who are the undead minions sent by Wendigo to stop Brave from completing the journey. Along the way, Brave will tap into his spirit powers that include shape shifting and mimicry by entering small spaces as a rabbit, or taking out enemies in one swipe as an angry grizzly bear.

Brave can collect spirit energy with feathers awarded to him by his ally Spirit Eagle. The spirit energy is spent by temporarily making Brave a stronger, faster warrior who will cause more damage to enemies. Spirit Eagle can transport Brave on his back, allowing him to complete tasks that would be impossible without the trusty bird's help.

Set in a fantastic world based upon the mythology of Native America, the game tells the coming of age story of 'Brave' a young Native American boy embarking on an epic journey to save his tribe. When his village is set upon by the evil Wendigo, and his friends are enslaved, Brave is sent to find the only one that can free them - Spirit Dancer, the greatest Shaman who ever lived. Hunting snarling evil wolves in a huge forest of towering Redwood trees, canoeing down raging river rapids, tracking the legendary Sasquatch through a swirling blizzard and battling on the back of a buffalo in the middle of a stampede are just some of the breathtaking challenges Brave will face. His journey will take him across a beautifully rich and interactive world inhabited by remarkable characters, bizarre creatures, and terrifying evil spirits.
