God Hand stars a solemn transient named Gene, an unwitting benefactor of a celestial gift after losing his right arm while trying to save a girl in danger. Upon regaining conscious, Gene realizes his arm has been replaced with the revered God Hand, a limb imbued with untold powers. So begins this unusual Western-themed brawler from the development team behind Okami and the Viewtiful Joe series.
Players guide Gene in an epic struggle against demons that covet his arm for their own nefarious purposes. Played from a third-person perspective, God Hand involves punching, kicking, and crushing all manner of demons across a series of environments. Joining Gene in his journeys is the girl he rescued, Olivia, who helps him collect orbs to power-up the mighty God Hand.
Players have complete freedom to create a wide assortment of combos in battle, from juggling enemies in the air to disintegrating them into dust using dramatic, over-the-top finishing moves with a humorous twist. Additional techniques can be purchased in shops set within each interactive environment, allowing players to use their newfound powers to shatter furniture, smash through rooftops, and more.
